Coastal Resilience and Sustainability Journal – A New Publishing Opportunity for SETU Researchers

As part of SETU’s involvement in the EU-CONEXUS European University initiative, we’re launching a brand-new academic journal: Coastal Resilience & Sustainability (CoReS). This open-access, peer-reviewed journal is now inviting submissions for its inaugural issues—and I’d warmly encourage researchers at all stages to consider contributing.

CoReS has been developed to provide a dedicated platform for interdisciplinary work in areas that are increasingly vital—from coastal urban resilience and environmental sustainability to smart infrastructure, energy systems, and the role of communities in shaping climate-adaptive futures. The journal reflects the diversity and innovation that define research across the EU-CONEXUS alliance—and that we see every day here at SETU.  The editorial board is drawn from across the eight universities that comprise EU-CONEXUS and SETU is represented on the board by Dr. Mike Kinsella and David Kane.

CoReS will publish two issues each year, with space for both thematic collections and open-topic articles. Researchers who have presented at EU-CONEXUS conferences may also be invited to expand their posters or presentations into full-length papers.

This is a real opportunity to bring your work to an international audience, to contribute to the academic conversation around resilience and sustainability, and to connect with peers across our European partner institutions.

Launch Webinar

There will be a short 30-minute webinar introducing the journal, its editorial scope, and how you can contribute.
