SETU participated in parallel EU-CONEXUS meetings hosted by Frederick University, Cyprus

Taking place in May, two parallel meetings hosted by Frederick University involved colleagues from across the EU-CONEXUS alliance.

Eva Roberts, Project Co-ordinator for SETU, participated in a two-day planning session for EU-CONEXUS ENABLES. The initiative was aimed at fostering sustainable synergies among EU-CONEXUS member universities, municipalities, and stakeholders with a particular focus on Smart Urban Coastal Sustainability (SmUCS) challenges. Led by the Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest (UTCB), the event celebrated the achievements of the project’s first 15 months, highlighting progress in creating a shared framework to enhance research culture and institutional support. A series of interactive presentations provided space for each partner university to reflect on lessons learned and collaboratively plan the next phase of the project. It will include the launch of PhD Co-tutelles, further post-doc mobilities, events and trainings (including hackathons), as well as the publication of ‘Coastal Resilience and Sustainability’, the project’s Open Journal.
